Managing Order Shipping Accounts

Select the shipping accounts used in purchasing shipping labels. Assign one or multiple carrier shipping accounts per warehouse, shipping method, or quoted shipping rates.

Shipping accounts are managed per store and determine which account is used when purchasing labels for a specific carrier. Store shipping accounts do not determine which carrier is assigned to an order.

Shipping accounts for transfers are managed separately in warehouse settings.

Assigning Shipping Accounts to a Store

To assign shipping accounts to a store, follow these steps:

  1. From the left sidebar, go to Directory › Stores and open the store.
  2. On the Shipping card, click Manage Shipping.
  3. Under Shipping Accounts, click + Add Shipping Account.
  4. Select a carrier.
  5. For each carrier, select the shipping account.
  6. To add another carrier, click + Add Carrier.
  7. Click Save.

Assigning Multiple Shipping Accounts

You can use multiple shipping accounts for the same carrier. For example, one account may offer better rates for expedited shipments, while another may provide better rates for oversized packages.

Assigning Shipping Accounts by Warehouse

You can use different shipping accounts for shipments from different warehouses. For example, use the UPS East account for shipments from the NJ warehouse and the UPS West account for shipments from the CA warehouse.

Follow these steps:

Combine the steps from the previous sections to create advanced shipping account assignment rules. You can assign up to five accounts per carrier, warehouse, and shipping method combination.

Assigning a Shipping Account on a Single Order

When multiple shipping accounts are assigned for the same warehouse and shipping method, you can manually select which shipping account to use on each order. Follow these steps:

  2. In the Shipping section, click the pencil icon
