Setting a Store on Vacation

Temporarily mark listings as out of stock while your warehouse is closed and unable to fulfill orders. All inventory allocation settings remain intact but are suspended during the vacation period.

Enabling Vacation Mode

To enable vacation for a store, follow these steps:

  1. From the left sidebar, go to DirectoryStores, and select the store.
  2. On the Inventory Allocation card, click the pencil icon to edit.
  3. Check Vacation Mode.
  4. Enter the start and end dates for the vacation period.
  5. For Amazon Marketplace channels, choose whether to set inventory to zero or extend the lead time.
  6. Click Save to apply your settings.

Setting the Vacation Period

Set the vacation period by specifying a start time and end time. At the start of the vacation period, Goflow sends an inventory feed to the store to set all inventory to zero. When the vacation period ends, Goflow sends another feed to restore inventory according to the regular allocation settings.

The time a channel takes to process updates for all listings depends on the total number of listings. To ensure inventory is set to zero at the start of the vacation period, set the start time two hours earlier than needed.

Vacation mode applies to all store listings, including those with custom allocation settings.

Goflow can only update inventory for listings that are active and mapped. Unmapped listings will not be set to zero.

Extending the Lead Time

For Amazon Marketplace channels, instead of marking listings as out of stock and losing sales, you can extend the lead time. By extending the lead time, you commit to shipping orders only after the warehouse resumes operations.

During the vacation period, Goflow sends a full inventory feed to the store daily, gradually reducing the lead time. The remaining vacation days are added to the regular lead time to determine the final lead time for each day.

For example, if the regular lead time is 2 days and the vacation lasts for 3 days, Goflow updates the lead time as follows:

Listings using expedited shipping templates in Seller Central will still receive orders with early ship-by dates, regardless of the extended lead time.
