Creating and Managing Warehouses

Every transaction in Goflow involves a warehouse. Inventory is purchased, received, moved, and shipped from warehouses, and every order is assigned to a warehouse. Your Goflow account includes a Default warehouse. You can add additional warehouses to your account as needed.

There are three main warehouse types:

Creating a New Warehouse

Your Goflow account includes a direct fulfillment warehouse named Default. If you operate out of multiple locations, you can create additional warehouses. To create a new direct fulfillment warehouse, follow these steps:

  1. From the sidebar menu, go to Directory › Warehouses.
  2. Click the New Warehouse button.
  3. For Warehouse Type, select Direct Fulfillment.
  4. Enter a name for the warehouse.
  5. Provide the physical address of your warehouse location. This address is used when creating shipments.
  6. Click the Save button.

Creating a 3PL Warehouse

Goflow integrates with a variety of 3PL warehouses. Setup instructions differ depending on the warehouse type. Select a specific 3PL warehouse from the list below for a guide on creating and managing it. For warehouses not yet covered, please reach out to Goflow Support for assistance with the setup process.

Creating a Store-Fulfilled Warehouse

Goflow supports multiple store-fulfillment warehouse types. In all cases, the warehouse must be linked to a specific store. You can create a store-fulfilled warehouse at the point where enabling the import of store-fulfilled orders.
