Connecting and Managing an Amazon Buy Shipping Account

Amazon Buy Shipping enables you to purchase shipping labels from Amazon from a variety of carriers. This service is for Amazon Seller orders only. For non-Amazon orders, you can use the Amazon Shipping carrier. Amazon Buy Shipping is currently offered in the US and the UK.

Creating an Amazon Buy Shipping Account

To purchase shipping labels through Amazon, start by creating an Amazon Buy Shipping carrier in Goflow. A single Amazon Buy Shipping carrier is all that's needed, even if you have multiple Amazon stores connected to Goflow. This is because the carrier account in Goflow is not linked to any Amazon account. However, Amazon Terms & Conditions must be accepted on each Amazon account separately.

To create an Amazon Buy Shipping account, follow these steps:

  1. From the left sidebar, go to SettingsShipping.
  2. In the upper right-hand corner, click on New Carrier.
  3. On the Carrier card, select Amazon Buy Shipping.
  4. Enter a unique Account Name.
  5. Accept Amazon Terms & Conditions.
  6. You can leave all other fields empty.
  7. Click Save to create the new account.

Accepting Amazon Terms and Conditions

To purchase labels through Amazon, you must accept their terms and conditions. Rates will only be displayed for carriers whose terms you’ve agreed to. Follow these steps to accept the terms:

  1. From the left sidebar, go to SettingsShipping.
  2. In the upper right-hand corner, click on New Carrier.
  3. On the Carrier card, select Amazon Buy Shipping.
  4. Click the Log in to Amazon Seller Central Account link.
  5. On Amazon Seller Central, check the box next to each carrier to accept their terms and conditions.

If you have multiple Amazon stores, you must accept the terms for each store separately. Follow the steps above for each account, and log in to each Amazon account. However, you only need to save one Amazon Buy Shipping account in Goflow.

Shipping with Amazon

When shipping an order and selecting Amazon Buy Shipping as the carrier, Goflow retrieves rates from Amazon for all carriers and shipping methods available for that order. In addition to providing the shipment weight and dimensions you must also select a Delivery Confirmation option. Your selection determines which shipping methods are available, as not all methods support every confirmation option. The available options are:

The Delivery Confirmation option is pre-filled based on your default settings. You can update the default option in the Amazon Buy Shipping carrier account settings.

Selecting a Shipping Method

There are three ways to select a shipping method for orders:

When using Bulk Ship on a pick list, you can either specify the same shipping method for all selected orders or use the default settings. With the default option, Goflow automatically applies the assigned shipping method for each order. If the assigned method is Unknown, Goflow automatically selects the cheapest shipping method provided by Amazon for the order.

Getting a Shipping Label from Amazon

You can connect your own carrier accounts to Seller Central to access your negotiated rates. Alternatively, you can use Amazon's rates.

The shipping label is generated by Amazon and delivered to Goflow. To void a shipping label, simply change the order status to Ready to Pick. Goflow will automatically request Amazon to void the label.

Orders shipped through Amazon do not send a shipment notification to Amazon, as Amazon is already informed about the shipment details, including the associated tracking numbers.
