Managing Extensiv 3PL Fulfillment

Integrate with Extensiv (3PL Central), a leader in cloud-based warehouse management, to enhance your fulfillment operations. Unlock the full power of Goflow’s integration benefits in fulfilling 3PL orders using an Extensiv warehouse.

To create an Extensiv warehouse in Goflow, follow these steps:

Creating the Warehouse:

  1. From the sidebar menu, go to Directory › Warehouses.
  2. Click the New Warehouse button.
  3. For Warehouse Type, select 3rd Party Fulfillment (3PL).
  4. Choose Extensiv 3PL from the list.
  5. Enter a name and address for the warehouse.

Connecting the Warehouse:

To connect the warehouse, you'll need to obtain API credentials. These credentials are typically provided by your Extensiv representative in the form of a text file. However, this file is not structured, and the credentials could be dispersed throughout. Review the text file to find the following details:

Ensure you enter the keys exactly as provided, including any formatting like braces or dashes. Once completed, click Save.

Managing an Extensiv Warehouse

Once you've connected the warehouse to your Extensiv account, return to the Extensiv warehouse in Goflow to manage these settings:

Managing Extensiv Channel Names

In the 3PL fulfillment order request, you may want to provide Extensiv with the unique channel name for each order. This information helps Extensiv determine the appropriate shipping account and packing slip to use based on the type of order.

Create a mapping between the store names in Goflow and the Retailer ID configured in Extensiv. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. In the sidebar menu, go to Directory › Warehouses and open the Extensiv warehouse.
  2. Locate the Extensiv 3PL Store Codes card, and click the pencil icon to edit.
  3. For each store in Goflow, enter its corresponding Retailer ID in Extensiv 3PL Store Codes.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

Channel name is optional for Extensiv. You can fulfill orders without setting up this mapping.

Managing Extensiv Order Shipping Method

The carrier and shipping method assigned to an order are applied as the shipping method when creating a 3PL fulfillment request. For single submissions, the shipping method is prepopulated but can be changed as needed.

You also have the option to override the shipping method and specify static values instead. Overrides are useful if you prefer your warehouse to select the best method rather than adhering to a specific shipping method. For example, you might agree with your warehouse that they will shop for the best rate if you pass along "best" as the shipping method in the request.

To set up shipping method overrides, follow these steps:

  1. In the sidebar menu, go to Directory › Warehouses and open the Extensiv warehouse.
  2. Locate the Extensiv 3PL Shipping Method card and click the pencil icon to edit.
  3. Select the Override Shipping Method radio option.
  4. Enter the code to use for Carrier, Shipping Method, or both.
  5. Choose which Goflow stores will use the override settings.
  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

Shipping Cost

Extensiv shipments do not include shipping costs. As a result, the shipped order in Goflow will not automatically reflect the shipping cost. However, you can manually apply the shipping cost by uploading it using a CSV file.
