Understanding Store Listings

Store listings are the catalogs of items you offer on a sales channel. Each channel has its own listings in Goflow representing the items you offer on that channel.

Listings are distinct from products. While the Goflow product catalog serves as the central source where product information is stored and managed, listings represent those products on a specific sales channel and are structured according to the requirements of each channel. Listings are linked to products through listing mapping.

There are three types of store listings in Goflow, depending on the channel and the level of integration Goflow supports. This determines how listings are created and where listing attributes are managed.

Enabling Listings Import

Enabling listings import allows Goflow to automatically pull listings from the connected sales channel. Imports run at regular intervals every few hours.

To enable listings import, follow these steps:

  1. From the left sidebar, go to Directory › Stores, and open the store.
  2. On the Status card, find the Listings Import setting and click the pencil icon to edit.
  3. Set Listings Import to Enabled.
  4. Click Save.

When updates are made to a listing on the channel portal, those changes are reflected in Goflow during the next listings import. For imported listings, updates such as changes to the listing description, price, or SKU are pulled from the channel and reflected in Goflow. For managed listings, listing attributes are managed in Goflow. However, if changes are made through another application or directly on the channel portal, Goflow detects those updates and syncs the listing during the next import.

Uploading Listings with a CSV File

Some channels, primarily dropship and EDI channels, do not support automatic listings import. Upload listings to Goflow using a CSV file. Follow these steps:

  1. From the left sidebar, go to Listings › Listings.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click Import › Import Existing Listings.
  3. Select the Store.
  4. Click the Columns tab to review the required file headers.
  5. Select the Upload tab and review the channel-specific instructions for obtaining the export file containing your listings.
  6. Review the general guidelines for file uploads in Goflow.
  7. Click Import to upload your listings.

The upload creates new listings and updates existing listings for SKUs that already exist in Goflow.

When importing a file, choose how to handle listings that are not included in the import file.

Managing Listings Status

If a listing is deactivated on the channel, Goflow places the listing in Review with the reason Listing deactivated by store. Review these listings and decide whether to mark them as Inactive in Goflow or take action to reactivate them.

To update the status of listings, follow these steps:

  1. From the left sidebar, go to Listings › Review.
  2. Select the listings you want to update.
  3. At the top of the page, click Actions › Change Listing Status.
  4. Choose the desired listing status.
  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

You can reactivate a managed listing directly in Goflow, and the listing will become active again on the channel. For non-managed listings, however, changing the listing status to Active in Goflow does not reactivate the listing on the channel. If the listing remains inactive on the channel, it will revert to Review during the next listings import.
